Activities:
Throughout the year various “in house” activities are organised by the Tennis Committee e.g. Winter Team Tennis, Autumn Doubles Team Tennis, Monday Evening Summer American Tournaments (grass) Captains’ Day, Open and Charity American Tournaments, Junior/Senior Tournaments and Christmas Turkey Events.
Director of Tennis:
Peter Lowther is Director of Tennis. Peter is a well known International Tennis Player having represented Ireland many times both at home and abroad. The Tennis Club comprises both Adult Members and Junior/Student Members.

Events:
DLTC Leagues: Dublin Lawn Tennis Council Leagues are a unique feature of tennis within the greater Dublin area. Elm Park enters Mens and Ladies Teams into Winter/Summer/Floodlit & Senior Leagues.
“Friendlys” are also organised against other clubs on a home and away basis.
Club Championship: With the availability of two playing surfaces Elm Park is able to run both Hardcourt and Grasscourt Championships. These take place in April and August respectively and are open to all members over 16 years of age.
Team Tennis: Is a mixed doubles competition run in the Autumn and Spring each year. It is a team event run over a number of weeks, each team consisting of 4 pairs of different playing ability. It concludes with entertainment, supper and prize giving.
Club Nights: Take place on Thursday nights during the months of May through August and incorporate our President’s Prize to Tennis. Club nights are a turn up and play format. All standards are welcome.
Veterans Tennis: Each year the club runs an Invitational Veterans Team Tournament in August with the number of teams limited to 12.
Junior Tennis: There is a full programme of activities for juniors including internal inter club competition, coaching and a junior camp during the holiday period. |
